Roundabout Adoption

In August Plato Alpha Design adopted the Independence Roundabout, as a part of an initiative by The Bahamas Public Parks and Beaches Authority. What this means is our company is now responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the roundabout that sits at the intersection of East St. South and Independence Highway. We’ve taken a lot of pride in this adoption as it represents just a small portion of our dedication to the social good of our country. We ensure the lawn is maintained, trees trimmed and that the roundabout just looks really good and presentable. If you happen to drive by you’d see two of our newly installed TriblockHR billboards. In just a few weeks we’ll welcome the Christmas season, where we will look to spread some the joy the holiday brings.

Plato at Global Young Professionals Academy

Our COO Keith Roye II participated in the 2024 Global Young Professionals’ Academy. The event, hosted in Turkey by the International Organization of Employers, is an annual training session for carefully selected and highly qualified young professionals under the age of 35 already working or aiming to work in an employers’ and business membership organization (EBMOs) around the world. The Academy aims to build the capacity and skill levels of the participants, enabling them to effect change and advance their careers within their organizations upon return to their home country. Through the academy, the selected young professionals: Acquire tools to implement and adopt policies at local and international level. Gain advocacy skills to engage more effectively with governments and stakeholders. Receive guidance to achieve greater policy impact. Receive mentorship and inspiration from the work of the global alumni network.

The Nassau Conference

Our CEO Duran Humes gave an insightful presentation last month during the 2024 Nassau Conference - A Masterclass in Innovation. He led a panel discussion with Plato’s good friend Onassis Nottage about the importance of digitization. It was a lively and impactful discussion before a packed room of attendees comprised of entrepreneurs, business people and thought-leaders. Humes explained multiple aspects from the benefits of moving away from the standard paper process of doing things, to the incorporation of AI in business – the pros and cons. As the leaders in digital transformation within the country, Plato Alpha Design’s presence at the conference speaks to the positive impact our company continues to make on businesses throughout our chain of islands.
