Software engineering is complex and it requires several years of knowledge and experience to effectively work in the position. Subsequently, a conventional classroom setting will definitely not give you the experience you need to make a great career in software engineering. Therefore, the launch of Plato Alpha’s Robust Internship Program aims to solve this problem for Bahamians looking to get their hands on real world project experience.
Founder and COO Keith Roye quote “Building a better Bahamas starts by investing in our people directly, and we are doing just that.”
The six months program is designed for individuals to be trained effectively on modern technologies that will allow them to build full stack software applications. These include websites, ecommerce platforms, web services, and integration tools just to name a few.
Our very own Anthony Munnings, who is the program’s inagural intern has already led the charge in showing what new skills he has acquired. In about two (2) months Anthony has already learned the skills needed to build a functioning ecommerce platform that accepts online payments for a clothing store. You can find the project here.
Founder and CEO Duran Humes quote “We are providing Bahamians the opportunity the learn a skill that will be in high demand for decades to come. As a software player myself, I want to cultivate a vibrant tech ecosystem for Bahamians by Bahamians.”
The program currently has 3 interns enrolled. We will be providing updates as the programs continues. If you have an understanding for coding and looking to put your skill set to the test, please email us at alpha@platoalpha.com.
As always our mission is to increase business efficiency and profitability through software.
